A Message from Al Blaquiere

Greetings everyone,

It has been a while since our last newsletter of July 2007. Your directors and executive have been meeting monthly and wish all members a happy and successful new year.

We are continuing to meet our charitable commitments to our community and I hope that you have noticed the terrific cooperation in press releases, that we have received from the Kelowna Daily Courier. The bingo revenues provide most of the funding we need to meet our financial obligations to our charities. Your membership support is greatly appreciated.

Our summer activities leading up to our children's Christmas party on December 9th, 2007, were all very well attended and I hope that this continues in 2008, as participation determines the success of our club.

There are four months left before this year's AGM and I am STRONGLY asking that all members think about representing the club on our Executive. Positions are available and applications are desperately needed. Please call me at 862-3880 to add your name as a candidate at the upcoming election. Many of us have held these positions for many years as you all know, and we really need some new representatives to give our club some new and fresh ideas. This is not a huge commitment as many hands make less work for all.

Please submit YOUR name and allow some of the regulars on this board to take a rest.
